January 11, 2006I found this meme over at Quiet Life and thought it sounded fun. I have been sitting on my "Seven Things" post for a while. This one seemed a bit more manageable for the likes of me. I used to have a page devoted to "One Hundred Things About Me". It was an ongoing project. I may just rebuild that page. Hopefully, it will satisfy any desire anyone may have to get to know me a little better. I admit that it can be fun reading some of these lists.

That sounds like a neat meme! :) I may steal it in the future when I'm brain-dead and can't think of a post topic. I love memes for that very reason! Boiled okra... ick!

Boiled okra hehe...can't believe you've eaten it. It is like a science project, it's stretchy, I find it fascinating just seeing how someone gets it from the pot to their plate. eeewww

Liz, it seems you have had more contact with boiled okra than I have. I only had one experience with boiled okra and that was enough for me. It was when I was fourteen and we had just moved to South Carolina from New Hampshire. Some kind lady brought us dinner as we had not even unpacked yet. I tasted a lot of new things when we moved south, but the memory of that pot of boiled okra mired in its own coagulated juices will live on in my mind forever. Well, that's assuming I don't come down with Alzheimer's. In which case, I will promptly forget the experience if forced to eat it once again.
