Ed. #2
Thirteen of Firefly's Favorite Educational Games

I've decided to do my take on Karen's list of thirteen educational games we enjoy since she so kindly asked what our favorites are.

1. Pilgrim's Progress

(This is sadly out-of-print. Let them know you would like to see it back, if you are interested.)

2. Rummy Roots

3. Dutch Blitz

4. Ten Days in Africa

(We really enjoy all of the Ten Days geography games.)

5. Smath

6. Backgammon

7. Tangoes

8. Authors

(Check this site for other games like Explorers, etc.)

9. Pit

10. Quiddler

11. Scrabble

12. Zoombinis Logical Journey

13. Oregon Trail

Comments:

I've only ever heard of (and played) Scrabble and Backgammon. Some of those other games sound interesting - I'll have to check them out.

The Germans love board games and make some of the world's best games. We've discovered some great ones since moving here.

Happy T13. :)

I've never heard of most of these games, but they look really cool. My monsters will definitely love to try them out!

Fellow blogger friend coming by to see your gold, since it's not available yet I just wanted to tell you that I've enjoyed reading your blog.

I want a Pilgrim's Progress game! LOL. I really like your blog's design.

Come check out my GOLD!

We have Zoombinis and Rummy roots too. My kids enjoy both! I've been wanting to check out the "Ten Days" games.

Oh, great list! Some of these I hadn't heard of. Backgammon and Scrabble are faves around here too! I want that Pilgrim's Progress game, and I did email them to "let me know" when its available again!

Wow, those look like fun. That reminds me we have pit, but haven't seen it in a long time. Must still be in a box some where? lol
You have some neat games. We hope to get more like that, that are more educational.
