btw. The woodsticks here, will they help me YODL?:))

Posted by: TorAa at March 2, 2007 7:41 AM

TorAa - The wooden sticks probably won't help you yodel, but they do help teach arithmetic to little ones. I was glancing around my home trying to find something to photograph for Wednesday when I saw the little watering can full of sticks sitting on some books in the bookcase. I thought I had put the sticks away a long time ago, but for some reason they were out decorating our bookshelves. It made me think about how much time had passed since I started homeschooling. We are long past basic arithmetic and are now into algebra and thick history and literature books. The juxtaposition of the counting sticks and the books on the shelf just struck me as somewhat bittersweet.
